As the time is approaching to the year end, I would like to take a moment to recall the year of 2011. This year has been a very meaningful one for me. I started my own business on April 2011 and my dear baby turns toddler in November 2011. Those two events marked a very important points in my life.
So I would like to thank God for His great blessings and opportunities for me throughout the year and His unbelievable trust to me to be the parent of my dearest baby. I hope 2012 bring the best of everything for every single one of us. Happy New Year 2012 everyone !!!!
ps: I am aging (proof: New Year's eve and I'm comfortably sit with my laptop and my PJ on)
Cheers everyone!!!

I never mastered the art of wrapping a gift. It's either a normal box kinda wrapping or some sorta candy wannabe wrap. So ribbons, tags and all other details play a very important role in my not so presents wrapping world. I decided to use the cute apple tags from Silhouette.
I hope the little baby girl (well the baby's mom) love both the presents and packaging.
On another note I would like to say merry belated christmas to all of you out there. May this christmas bring peace, love and joy in our heart and blessings for our family and friends.
silhouette
I know I'm probably the last blogger who mentioned about how good the Silhouette SD is but I really need to tell you all about this amazing machine. I've read the review about this machine a while back via howaboutorange and I'm already in awe back then. Couple months later and husband surprised me with the SD as my birthday present. Yayness! But somehow although I'm dying to play with the thing, coping between breastfeeding, diaper changing, baby burping, pumping n so on n so on, playing with a cutting machine is not a good idea.
After easy apple tags, I decided to try out something unbelievably hard design. A doily that is. And I'm a fool once again. It cuts all the details perfectly!
Now that the baby is bigger, I get to play with my SD baby. I've put the machine on with all the cable, read the instructions, put the blade, etc and try to run it and (drum roll) it did not cut! Not a bit. Disappointed I then messaged my friend Lia from liaspace and bothered her about this machine. Take pics and in the end I ended up with an email to their support. Lucky me their customer service is a real top notch one. They saw my pics and without further ado, they send me a new blade. Another yayness.
So after all the drama with the machine, I get to play around with it and cut some serious shapes. You'll be amazed with what the machine can do. Seriously.
Here's how the machine works. I did not have time to take better pics during the cutting process since I'm completely in awe. With their registration marks sensor, the machine is also able to cut your color print design exactly where you want it. I print out some apple tags (bought the design from their studio for 0.90c) and then cut it. Neat!

Done with 2D design, I decided to try their 3D design and make this cute little box with a window. And of course, it cuts and the result wouldn't be better. A very cute little box just in a matter of minutes is ready for you to ensemble and filled with candies or anything basically for your favor box.
And now, everyday, I've spent at least fifteen minutes in their studio buying their design and cut them and leave with an awe. A must buy machine for all crafter out there.

new fabric and cushion
Here are some of the new fabrics and cushion at Kimomo! The cotton are super soft with beautiful design by Timeless Treasures, Michael Millers, etc. I also stock some beautiful linen fabric panel in the store. Recently we also produce our own screen print cushion. It comes in the shape of a hedgehog with a brown color. Very suitable for home decor. Don't forget to visit Kimomo!

rag dolls
I've spent my entire day yesterday sewing dolls for my baby. I bought the fabric a while ago but never get around to sew it until lately. I finished one doll about a month ago but never have the eagerness to finish the other three hehe. But yesterday I was in my full sewing spirit mode (yes this is my maximum sewing spirit mode, sewing three dolls, n yes sewing here means stitching both bad side of the fabric, turn it over, stuff it in then bam its a doll, yes yes that sewing nyah nyah). And I finished them woot woott.

The blue and pink are my favorites while my baby loves the pink one. I actually sew the pink one first so basically even if I didn't sew the rest three, she wouldn't care anyway haha. Owell, I love them!
I also get the time to play with my Silhouette SD machine today, the nice people at Silhouette Customer Service sent me a new replacement blade and it arrives today. I must say I'm impressed (both with the machine and their service). Will post some pictures of what the machine's capable of doing tomorrow.

here, there and everywhere
I'm a huge sucker for lyrics. I find songs beautiful for my ears if the lyrics touched me. Drama, mellow, yes I don't care but I could actually loveee a song real hard just because of the lyrics. I could actually imagine the story behind the lyrics, etc etc. Husband think I'm too much of a drama, indeed but heck I love lyrics =)
One of my most favorite lyrics is a song by the Beatles, here there and everywhere. The song was written by the great Paul McCartney in 1966 for their Revolver album.
To lead a better life
I need my love to be here
Here, making each day of the year
Changing my life with a wave of her hand
Nobody can deny that there's something there
There, running my hands through her hair
Both of us thinking how good it can be
Someone is speaking, but she doesn't know he's there
I want her everywhere
And if she's beside me I know I need never care
But to love her is to need her
Everywhere, knowing that love is to share
Each one believing that love never dies
Watching their eyes and hoping I'm always there
I want her everywhere
And if she's beside me I know I need never care
But to love her is to need her
Everywhere, knowing that love is to share
Each one believing that love never dies
Watching their eyes and hoping I'm always there
I will be there, and everywhere
Here, there and everywhere
We played this song at our wedding day and now I sing this as my baby's lullaby.

Couple of days ago I've stumbled upon this article in facebook and it really hits me. A very interesting fact about us, human, nowadays.
As we rush through life!
-------------------------- -
In Washington, DC, at a Metro Station, on a cold January morning in 2007,
this man with a violin played six Bach pieces for about 45 minutes. During
that time, approximately 2,000 people went through the station, most of them
on their way to work.
*About 3 minutes: *
The violinist received his first dollar. A woman threw money in the hat
and, without stopping, continued to walk.
*At 6 minutes: *
A young man leaned against the wall to listen to him, then looked at his
watch and started to walk again.
*
At 45 minutes:*
The musician played continuously. Only 6 people stopped and listened for a
short while. About 20 gave money but continued to walk at their normal
pace. The man collected a total of $32.
*After 1 hour:*
He finished playing and silence took over. No one noticed and no one
applauded. There was no recognition at all.
No one knew this, but the violinist was Joshua Bell, one of the greatest
musicians in the world. He played one of the most intricate pieces ever
written, with a violin worth $3.5 million dollars. Two days before, Joshua
Bell sold-out a theater in Boston where the seats averaged $100 each to sit
and listen to him play the same music.
This is a true story. Joshua Bell, playing incognito in the D.C. Metro
Station, was organized by the Washington Post as part of a social experiment
about perception, taste and people's priorities.
*This experiment raised several questions: *
1.In a common-place environment, at an inconvenient or inappropriate hour,
do we perceive beauty?
2.If so, do we stop to appreciate it?
3.Do we recognize talent in an unexpected context?
*Learning:* If we do not have a moment to stop and listen to one of the
best musicians in the world, playing some of the finest music ever written,
with one of the most beautiful instruments ever made... how many other
things are we missing as we rush through life?

Touche right? I think it is very scary that day by day we could actually missed a lot just because we didn't bother to care and appreciate things. I really hope this article teach us all to be a better human being tomorrow.

Mikael Kashka Prijatna
My baby nephew will turn one month old this December so I made all the tag for his cakes and cupcakes that we will give to our relatives and friends. The theme color is brown and blue.
Seems just like yesterday I was chatting with my sister that her baby is far too late from the due date yet there's no sign of her giving birth at all and now he's one month old already. Time flies. Happy one month old my dearest Kael.

kikki-k
Did I tell you I love stationeries? (besides fabric and paper now here come stationeries!). Well I looooooveee stationaries a whole lot! One of the brand that I always fell in love with is kikki-k. Kikki-k is an Australian based stationeries line. They offer a wide range of products from stamps, writing tools, planners and bags. Their products came in an array selection of materials from printed canvas to leather.
Unfortunately their closest flagship store to Jakarta is based in Singapore and international shipping to my home will cost me another journal so I can only admire these pretty cute stuff from their web.
from left to right clockwise: wooden stamp set-sundae, ipad case-sundae,
2012 planner-cute (indeed!), inside the 2012 planner-cute
Do visit them if you're in Australia or Singapore! Please open a store in Jakarta whoever you are Kikki-k owner...

Extremely exhausted... but I'm not complaining hehe. I get to visit and meet my parents' today, my nephew and my most lovable Iyem. It's been a while since the last time I met them and boy how home (why home and not mom's? coz my mom inherit all her cooking abilities to my wonderful Iyem, um mom still cooks.... um no) cooking is still the best food ever.
On another note, since December is approaching, I will be giving a 'christmas giveaway' to our loyal Kimomo customers. I always feel the month of December is strongly connected with presents so there it is, presents presents and presents. More info to come on this giveaway =)

table of sweetness
Recently we just celebrated my daughter's first year birthday and me, in my very shallow confidence decided to throw her a dessert table. At first, I asked my very dear best friend who appears to be a very multi talented human being (she does scrapping, sewing, making fabric notebooks, and also beautiful dessert table), Kiara Flisha. But at the end of the day, it was I, the mother who decided to do it all (Flisha dances around happily when I decided to throw the table myself sigh...).
It's not easy I'm telling you all dessert table beginners. It's such an effort but I truly enjoyed it. I prepared everything from scratch (minus the food, I really am an awful baker) from paper tags, goodie bags, cupcake packages, games' presents and paper bunting. I filled the tables with some marshmallows, yummy cookie pops and puddings from my dear cousin Ita's Cake, some caramel popcorns, wafers, chocolate chip cookies and oh so yummy cupcakes from my dear friend Lisa.
Hopefully you'll love it my dear munchkin, happy 1st birthday, mommy loves you so...

it's about time
On this very gloomy day, I decided to start blogging (for real). I actually started blogging a while ago, but never get around it very much. So hopefully this time I can get around writing everyday (or every week, hehe).
I will share all things that I find wonderful for my eyes (I am such an easy pleaser so there will be a lot of things I share here) and I recently fell in love with paper. I always thought paper is such an annoying thing. What to do with the left over? How can you keep the left over tidily? Unlike fabric that you can easily fold and store, you definitely can't fold a paper without causing a crease and boy how i hate crease on a piece of a paper. But far long gone my loathe to paper, now paper is my new lover. And as if the paper fairy is teasing me, lately I found lots of beautiful paper. Here are some of the papers I think are very sweet and adorable.

all papers are beautiful collections from My Mind's Eye collection and luckily in Jakarta you can find this collections at Made With Love. Beautiful aren't they? And to make it even worst, they also come with some pretty embellishments, matching ribbons and die cuts even stamps. Life is not fair.... Sigh....
